Meet Jade Cintrón Báez

¡Wepa!

Educator, storyteller, and cultural practitioner creating bilingual, identity-centered experiences through theatre, movement, and community.

Jade is a proud Ameri-Cuban-Rican, wife y mamá, born and raised in New Jersey — the state of The Boss and bagels that rock your world. Now serving the communities of El Paso, TX and Las Cruces, NM, she is a Rutgers University graduate with a Bachelor’s in Theatre Arts and Journalism & Media Studies, and holds a Master’s in Arts Administration from Drexel University. Jade has spent her life weaving her roots and her craft through acting, singing, dancing, education, and advocacy.

As a 1.5 generation Latina who has experienced the weight of heritage loss and the journey of reclamation firsthand, every story-time, training, and speaking engagement es personal. She brings theatre, storytelling, and movement into stages, classrooms, and conference rooms — the language she has always spoken — to create connections across culture, identity, and belonging.

A woman with dark curly hair and red lipstick smiling outdoors in front of trees. This is Jade of ¡Looking Bilingüe!

With storytelling and community at the center, Jade founded ¡Looking Bilingüe! as a platform for celebration and reclamation for her gente—especially first through third generations, los de ni de aquí, ni de allá.

What started as a powerful video interview series spotlighting Latin@ experiences has grown into a dynamic platform for workshops, talks, and educational programming. While the series remains an important foundation, and now resource, it has evolved into a deeper, more expansive practice rooted in teaching, storytelling, and community engagement.

I remember learning many things when I took courses with you, especially about how to support children in their development. More about reading, and how to support their learning development and the activities we could use. I appreciate everything I learned from you because it helped me grow in working with children and in how to build a connection with them and their parents. You were always very energetic and fun

for professionals

PROFESSIONALS

I bring together classroom teaching, language learning, and embodied storytelling in a way that feels grounded, human, and real. My background in ESL and theatre has taught me that language is more than grammar or vocabulary—it’s connection.

What I offer isn’t just information, but an experience con corazón. I invite people to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with their own stories in ways that feel accessible and grounding. Through moments of movement and storytelling, ideas begin to land not just in the mind, but in the body.

My goal is for people to leave feeling more seen, more connected, and more at home in themselves.

In my work, I create spaces where people can relax, open up, and begin to trust themselves and their cultura more fully.

Much of this work is rooted in lived experience. As a Heritage Latina, I understand what it feels like to exist between languages and between versions of belonging. That in-between space can be tender, complex, and often unspoken.

In my speaking, I hold that space with care—exploring cultural identity, assimilation, and cultural loss in ways that invite honesty without judgment.

¿Preguntas? We have answers!

I have a very specific idea for the kind of programming I want. Do you offer custom workshops or classes?

Yes, absolutely! This is exactly what Discovery Calls are for. We’ll talk through your ideas, I’ll share how I work, and together we’ll see what feels like the right fit.

Can you travel to us if we are outside the Las Cruces / El Paso area?

Short answer: yes — for speaking engagements and workshops.

At this time, private lessons are offered locally only.

If you're outside the area, reach out or book a free Discovery Call, and we can explore what’s possible.

Do my children or I have to identify as Latin@ to work with you?

Not at all. ¡LB! welcomes people of all backgrounds — there’s something to gain for everyone in this work. That said, if we feel you’d be better supported by a different approach, we’ll always be honest so you can get exactly what you need.

Why don’t you have a physical space?

Keeping things mobile allows me to stay flexible, meet communities where they are, and keep costs more accessible. It also gives me the ability to be present as a mamá.

…but who knows — maybe one day we’ll grow into a space of our own. ¡Uno nunca sabe!
